I have tried a few Shake Shacks in Hong Kong and its popularity baffles me. I take issue first and foremost with how salty it makes its patties. The meat is soooo salty that it overwhelms all natural flavours of the otherwise good quality beef. The whole experience would have really been perfect if not for too much salt in the meat. The bun, the portion (although a little small) and the combination of veggies and good cheese all was wonderful, but you can’t miss the saltiness. I have tried the double cheese burger and it was double the super saltiness and really, what a waste. I don’t think I am visiting any Shake Shack here anymore. Someone has got to tame down the salt.
Truffle burger has a very good taste. Def recommend.
Double Shake Burger terrible, none of us enjoyed eating it. The taste was just bad.
General comment on burgers: I actually didn’t mind the bread texture, but my bf didn’t enjoy it. It reminded him of butter bread type.
Cheese fries average. The cheese sauce was tasty but the fries were tought and not so tasty.
B&w milkshake I personally didn’t like it but my bf liked it. For me, tasted like melted ice cream.
Strawberry Yuzu lemonade, I liked it! But watch out. you will only like it if you like sour taste.
Experience would had been better if we didn’t had ordered that double Shake Burger. Try something different. Expensive for the offered product, but, indeed, it is one of the cheapest things to eat at Elements (if you don’t wanna go to Cafe de Coral!!)
The burger was so tiny... kind of expected a larger portion from their reputation. The burgers were delicious and the patty was very juicy. Also enjoyed the bacon fries a lot.
All in all, the store was mostly empty, everything on the plate was very greasy, food tasted great, but service was a tad bit slow.
First time here. Order the Hamburger Doubles with large Lemonade. Quite enjoyed it. But did find it a tad small ☺️ the patties are yummy.
My favourite burger in town! Fluffy buns and juicy patty, the staff are nice and well-attended, I always want to have one when passing by their branch!
Shake Shack arrived here in Hong Kong a couple years ago and has done rather well. There are now six branches strategically located around the city in shopping malls with heavy foot traffic including the branch at Elements Mall in TST. Opening hours are 11am to 8.30pm daily.
Note: Presently during the pandemic there are strict rules on how many people are allowed within the seating area of all restaurants. Shake Shack branches have larger than average seating areas so there is a good chance you will find an available table. If not or if you simply prefer to eat from within the comfort of your area office, home or hotel, you can simply order take-away or even delivery through deliveroo or foodpanda.
We recently enjoyed a couple SmokeShack burgers, which were grilled nicely. Bacon topping was nice, the chopped cherry peppers were hotter than usual, much to our satisfaction. However, some may have found this too hot. If so, just remove some of the peppers and enjoy the rest. Fries were just fine, the peanut butter shake very thick this time around. Nice job.
Overall, Shake Shack branches in Hong Kong now seem much more consistent with the quality of the burger experience of the Manhattan based Shake Shacks. This wasn't what we found when they first opened here in HK but does seem to be the case now.
Burger was undercooked and had too much onion in the “special sauce”. The person who handed me my food was super toxic and rude. I asked him “wouldn’t the cheese go on top of the cheese fries?” And he responded “you do it yourself” in a very aggressive tonality. I would like a manager to reach out regarding my experience
As good as every shake shack burger. No queue and efficient service. Dont forget to add onions and peppers for free. Recommend the fifty fifty (half lemonade, half lemon tea). it was refreshing but not very sweet and reduced the oily feel of burger.
